What a CEX-Funded Buys alert means

A CEX-Funded Buys alert means wallets funded straight from an exchange bought in.

As a rule, wallet alerts show what money did, which is harder to fake than a post. Wall Street Diary follows CEX-Funded Buys on Solana and asks whose wallets they are and what they did before.

Wall Street Diary reads on-chain buying as evidence, with limits. One wallet can split into ten; a fresh wallet can belong to the deployer. The checks below cover both cases.

Start here: Compare the buy size with pool liquidity; a buy that moves price far is also hard to exit. Check whether several buying wallets were funded from one source a few minutes earlier.

A ten-minute check

None of these needs a wallet connection.

Step 1

Copy the full contract address from the alert, never the ticker.

Step 2

Search the contract in the Empire Telegram network to see other alerts on it.

Step 3

Confirm the token cannot be minted again or frozen in your wallet.

Step 4

Decide your exit before you enter, including the price where you are wrong.

Step 5

Re-check the token an hour later; many setups change fast.

The desk's screen

Filters are a choice, not a truth. This is the choice Wall Street Diary made for CEX-Funded Buys alerts:

In the 31 most recent lane alerts at build time (about 3 days), 17 passed this screen. Median values for the passing alerts: cap $882.9K, liquidity $160.3K, holders 696. 5 out of 31 alerts showed a pool smaller than a tenth of the cap — a warning sign on its own. Across the whole lane, the ten largest wallets held a median 22 % of supply.

Values measured on 2026-09-23 from the Empire feed. The screen is a filter, not a recommendation.
